Hi, my name is Dusan Dammer.  Below is a summary of my professional experience and achievements.

In 1988 I completed Master of Science in Ore Deposit Geology at Komensky University in Bratislava, then Czechoslovakia.  In 1991 my family and myself moved to Australia because I was awarded scholarships by the Australian National University in Canberra to carry out PhD Research in the Environmental Geochemistry Group at the Research School of Earth Sciences.  I completed my PhD in 1995 and published a couple of papers on geochronology of chemical weathering in Australia in journal Economic Geology.

I started my mining industry career in Kambalda (Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia) in 1994 as geochemist with WMC, exploring for nickel sulphides and gold. After several years I transferred to Hedges Gold and became project geologist looking for extensions of the Boddington Gold deposit.  However, apart from geology, I have also become very interested in solving issues related to Information Management.  This resulted in developing and implementing a number of practical systemic improvements of onsite systems supporing exploration and mining workflows.

In 2002 I joined Metech (now acQuire Technology Solutions) as Geological Data Analyst (GDA) and later on as Principal GDA. During my stay with Metech I implemented acQuire software for more than 16 mining and exploration companies worldwide. My work included project scoping, onsite implementation, user training, and preparing implementation documentation. Overall this accounted for more than 360 days in the field, and visiting more than 35 job locations.

In 2006 I decided to found Advanced DataCare – a consulting company delivering innovative information management solutions for the resources industry. Since then Advanced DataCare completed system optimizations for a number of clients in Australia and overseas.  These include Anglo Coal, Bauxite Resources, BHPB Worsley Alumina, Barrick Gold, Boddington Gold JV, Energy Resources of Australia, Equinox Minerals Limited, Golder Associates, Lihir Gold Limited, Mega-Redport Uranium, Newcrest Mining Limited, Ok Tedi Mining Limited, PT Freeport Indonesia, Solid Energy of New Zealand, and Xstrata Coal.
